Payment Method
ShirtBoom accepts all major credit and debit cards plus popular digital wallets, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal. Checkout is encrypted and runs through Shopify’s PCI-compliant payment system, so your card information is never stored on our servers.
Accepted Payment Methods
Credit & Debit Cards
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover — both credit and debit cards issued in the United States and supported international markets.
Your card information is safe. ShirtBoom never sees or stores your card number, expiration date, or CVC. All card data is encrypted in transit and processed directly by Shopify Payments, a Level 1 PCI Service Provider — the highest level of payment security certification.
Digital Wallets & One-Tap Checkout
For the fastest checkout, use a digital wallet at the payment step:
- Apple Pay — Touch ID, Face ID, or a quick passcode tap on iPhone, iPad, or Mac (Safari).
- Google Pay — One-tap checkout on Android and Chrome browsers.
- Shop Pay — Shopify’s own express checkout. Remembers your shipping and payment info securely for future purchases across all Shopify stores.
These wallets work with any of the cards above and add an extra layer of authentication via your device.
Paying with PayPal
Select PayPal at checkout to be redirected to PayPal’s secure login. You can pay with your PayPal balance or with any card linked to your PayPal account.
Why pay with PayPal?
- Safer. Pay without sharing card details with the merchant.
- Faster. Skip the card number entry — just log in.
- Easier dispute resolution. PayPal’s Buyer Protection covers eligible purchases.
If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can still use this option as a guest with a debit or credit card.
Currency & International Orders
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars (USD) by default. International customers may see prices in their local currency depending on browser settings; the final charge is converted by your bank or card issuer at their current exchange rate.
Customs duties, import VAT, and taxes for international orders are determined by your country and may be collected on delivery. Check with your local customs office for specific rates.
Why Was My Payment Declined?
If your payment didn’t go through, the most common reasons are:
- Incorrect details. Card number, expiration, CVC, or billing ZIP code don’t match what your bank has on file.
- Bank fraud check. Banks sometimes flag online purchases as suspicious. Call the number on the back of your card to authorize.
- Insufficient funds or credit limit. Check your available balance.
- International card restrictions. Some non-U.S. cards aren’t accepted by U.S. processors. Try a different card or use PayPal.
- Card type not supported. Cards outside the listed brands (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) won’t process.
If the issue persists, reach out via the Contact page with the approximate time of the attempt and we’ll help troubleshoot.
